FiRsT sTeP - nEw LiFe

I AM ENGAGED! George proposed to me last night while we were standing on the frozen Utah Lake watching the first sunset of 2008 and I said yes! About 6 months ago we met at church (how funny is that?) and we've been dating for about 3 months now. It may seem fast to some, but it has not been rushed at all. I'm am happy to say that we've followed the natural progression and flow of our relationship which has found us close to the Lord on an individual basis, and deeply and perfectly in love! My whole family has met him and love him then our parents met in November which is when George and I started talking about marriage. And after ring shopping, deep conversations about life/kids and praying about it we've chosen to spend the rest of our lives and eternity together! I had no idea he had even bought a ring, but little did I know he had had the ring for 3 weeks already! He just wanted to wait until after Christmas to give it to me. That time away from each other the week of the Holidays was fun to be with family but was enough for us to confirm that we never want to be without each other again!

After receiving counsel from our parents and bishop and due to the complication and time period of getting my previous sealing canceled we'll have civil wedding in probably end of February or beginning of April, then we'll get sealed 1 year after. We look forward to that special day even more, but are excited to celebrate the start of our lives together.

Well, I just wanted to inform you all and will keep you posted. I am thrilled and so happy! I know I've experienced similar things in the past but I can honestly say I have never quite felt this way before... I am so in love with him and happier than I ever could imagine possible. He is the love of my life and its refreshing to have a relationship built on a solid spiritual foundation!
